Community-run farm stand on Myrtle Avenue
Neighborhood: Clinton Hill
Brooklyn, NY 11205
United States of America
Fresh eating for Clinton Hill residents is only a few minutes away at the Myrtle Avenue Farm Stand. The farm stand is open every Thursday until Oct. 28, 2010 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Ingersol Community Center. It is located at 177 Myrtle Ave. between Navy and Prince Street.

Many Clinton Hill residents don't realize that the farm stand accepts WIC, Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) and Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) vouchers. There are also occasional workshops, activities and games for kids.

The Greene Hill Food Co-op is also available at the stand for new members to sign up or if anyone is interested in volunteering. The program is a great way for Clinton Hill residents to have access to local and sustainable food.
