Companies Do Care: an Example of a Negative Product Review Producing a Positive Outcome

Not too long ago, I wrote a product review of the Vornado VH2 heater, and my displeasure with that product. It did not work well for me at all, and I returned it and bought a different brand. I expected nothing more of my product review that the fact that it was a conduit to vent my frustration, and to advise other would-be buyers not to fall into the same consumer trap that I had.

Soon after my article was published, I was contacted by the Director of Marketing at the Vornado Company. Vornado had read my review, and did not want me to be dissatisfied with their product. I was offered a replacement heater at no additional cost. I accepted the generous offer.

I am pleased to report that I have now received the replacement heater. Not only was it a complimentary replacement, but it was also an upgraded model from the heater I originally did the product review on. And, as an added bonus, I was also sent a Vornado Whole Room Air Circulator. I have tested both products for several days, and I am very pleased with their performance. The replacement heater runs so much better that the first one I owned. There is a world of difference.

Associated Content content producers, this is concrete evidence that our voices are being heard! If you are not pleased with a product, write about it. Tell other consumers your reasons. This gives others a chance to learn from your experiences. It also gives companies a chance to make things right if a customer is displeased with their product. Conversely, if you are pleased with a product, write about it. Let others know why you are happy with your product, and how it has improved your quality of life. Your opinion is valuable to consumers and companies alike.

I am very impressed with the Vornado company, and the manner in which they handled my negative product review. They turned a negative situation into a positive one, and in turn, changed my perspective of their products in the most positive of ways, especially now that I have been given the opportunity to sample both their heating and cooling products.

Because of this positive experience, I would not hesitate to recommend Vornado products to anyone. I thank Vornado for turning this issue in the right direction, and I thank Associated Content for giving me my voice.
