I was quietly working when I overheard a conversation with a customer. She was talking to another employee about how she used to look before she had kids. She was a model, and kept describing what she looked like as 'super hot'. She showed her old ID which she looked completely different.

It was interesting. She had gained a hundred pounds, but she didn't care. It wasn't a big deal. She loved her husband and her children, and they loved her back. It really is a beautiful thing when you grow to realize that looks aren't the most important thing in the world. That eventually they go away and you see the person as they truly are.

When you really begin to look at life and think of the different things, it doesn't matter. Yourself, everyone you know, we will all end up old and decrepit one day. But that should be nothing to stop you from living your life to the fullest. It's the moments that count, and being able to look back one day and think about the life you led with a smile on your face. That would be a promising closure to a happy life and fulfilling.

Don't look at people for just the beauty on the outside, but inside, their personality, charisma, and the talents that they possess. The things that they do to make you smile, and laugh. So many of us base our relationships on the shallow fact of looks, when we are complete opposites. After the lust settles, and the person looks through the glitter and shine, a true person is shown.

I have a girlfriend who I believe is gorgeous, but that doesn't veer from the fact that she still has innocence and happiness amongst the problems, that her personality is sweet along with humor and fun. Honesty and trustworthiness are big issues that show the perspective a person has.

To be able to look past the obvious is a perspective worth obtaining, it's priceless. Being compatible through conversation, love, memories, jokes, and an understanding of one another. To be your true self, and break away from the walls that surround all of us from day-to-day.

Looks will fade away with time; but an open heart will be there until the day it stops beating.
