Comparing the Best Cell Phone Service Providers

Who's the Best?

Jerry
As a reader of this article, and a frequent or moderate user of the Internet, I'm sure you probably either own or have owned a cell phone in your life time. The majority of people these days either have a cell phone, have used one, or have owned one in their past.

Cell phones are definitely an uprising necessity in almost all areas. More and more people are starting to consider cell phones to be a need and home phones are going out.

More people are starting to use cell phones as their primary method of contact. I personally never use or answer my land line phone, and I'll always answer and use my cellular phone to make and receive calls.

Cell phones are great because you can take them anywhere. There's no real range on the extent to which you can use them, and they have tons of features.

The real question comes into play when it comes to deciding the best service provider for your type of use. There are several major cell phone service providers.

Fortunately, you have me.. Someone who has tried almost all of the cell phone service providers to describe to you which are the best, and which are definitely something which you shouldn't be interested in.

Sprint
Sprint is my current service provider. I love Sprint. The prices are decent, I haven't been ripped off yet with unnecessary additional prices, and the services they offer are quite extensive and worth the value.

AT&T
I had this company while it was still named Cingular. First of all, the phone I had was excellent. The battery life rocked, and the phone itself was free. Cingular has excellent reception. Never dropped one call. However, Cingular did add fees which were completely unnecessary, which caused me to switch services. However, just about everyone else enjoys this service and has never had this problem.

Nextel
Now together with Sprint, I feel the same way about Nextel as I do Sprint.

T-Mobile
T-Mobile is definitely the way for someone with very little cash to spend on a phone to go. The plans are cheap. The minutes are quite extensive. The only problem is reception... It's not excellent. You'll definitely do some roaming. The phones are great however, and so is the price.

Alltel
This place is about average. Service and prices were decent. No rip offs. Reception was average. Not many dropped calls, though. I'd recommend it to someone who isn't sure about any other places.

Hey Jerry, no mention of US Cellular I have use them for years and have always had reception when no one else had it, I have compaird my reception with Verizon, Alltell, Cingular/ATT (the worst) and Sprint users US Cellular seems to have the best reception. The phone choices are limited but great reception.

Is it really? I used the service while it was still named under Cingular. Wow, that's horrible. Verizon's pretty good, I rarely have reception problems with the Sprint/Nextel network currently.

I have to say...Cingular's reception sucks now. It's HORRIBLE. At my university, I got into an elevator with another guy. We both were using cellphones, I had Verizon, never gets cut off in my life, and his got cut off as soon as the doors closed. And that's not the first time that has happened. A lot of people are dissatisfied with Cingular/ATT's reception, but they all use it because it's dirt cheap. Verizon would be the best reception, but cost the most.
