McCain is for offshore drilling in the U.S. which may help us solve some of our personal economy issues such as prices at the pump. Obama is opposed to offshore drilling in the U.S. McCain is also for appointing judges in the U.S. who will interpret the law, not make it, Obama has also opposed this.
McCain also has a lot more to relate to those who serve in the military since he served in the U.S. Armed Forces himself, unlike Obama. Unlike McCain, Obama plans to pull all the troops immediately out of Iraq, however who knows if this will be able to be done. McCain's experience speaks wonders as he has spent 22 long years in the senate as Obama has 173 days under his belt.
Obama is however going to establish a national health care plan that could help many of us uninsured Americans. McCain is opposed on this issue. McCain is supporting gun ownership rights, and the right to protect yourself. Obama is opposed to this however, if all of us who obey the law turn in our guns do you really think the bad guys will? So the bad guys may be the only ones with guns if this law is passed. Obama also supports homosexual marriage, as McCain does not. I think this one is more of a personal issue however homosexual couples can still have a commitment ceremony if McCain is elected.
What bothers many is Obama's views on abortion and his words to wanting to legalize "partial birth abortion", as if not taking responsibility and getting an abortion wasn't bad enough, for those of you who do not know what partial birth abortion is research the details, it is too sickening for me to describe in this article, a very horrific and better described as evil view. McCain is pro-life on this issue and against all abortion.
As far as taxes go Obama has many proposed programs that will cause a huge tax increase. McCain does not propose any changes in the current home sales tax, Obama will have it be 28% on profit from all home sales. So if you sell your home and make a profit, 28% of this money will now go to the government. On Dividend taxes McCain also wants no change on the current 15%. Obama will change this to 39.6% more than doubling the amount of money you will owe in taxes if you have money invested in stocks, IRA, mutual funds, college, insurance, even in retirement.
Obama is promoting higher income taxes at the end of the year, McCain is not changing this. So Obama will make it where you get more back at the end of the year but in the long run with all the raised taxes you will still be out more money.
If you are doubting any of this then make sure to reference the official Obama website as well as the official McCain website. Whoever you are voting for make sure to always verify your source, ignore Internet blogs as well as celebrities on important issues that will affect our future.
