Comparison of Dryness Agents: Suave Naturals Antiperspirant Vs. Secret Scent Expressions Antiperspirant

Angela Russell
Everyone uses antiperspirants, or at least they should. There are many choices when it comes to antiperspirants; two of the most popular brands are Suave and Secret. Suave is well known for its low prices and Secret is well known for its commercials about being strong enough for a man but made for a woman. I am a frugal shopper, so I tend to lean toward the lesser priced of the two. I thought I would put them to the test, to see if one was better than the other was. I have found that they are both comparable, but I prefer one to the other for one reason. Read on to find out why.

I have used both of these deodorant/antiperspirants, and while they both do the job that they claim the will do, I have found that for the money, Suave is the best buy. Secret offers more variety in scents, but Suave is not far behind. Suave is less expensive and performs just as well as its rival.

Either of the two can be purchased in a many varieties. Roll-on, solid, spray, gel, and etc. Neither one of them comes out on top when it comes to variations of their product. I prefer a solid. The sizes of both companies solid antiperspirant are comparable. I purchased a Suave Naturals Tropical Expressions and a Secret Expressions Vanilla Chai.

Suave works great. It did not wear off after a few hours. The scent is subtle, it is not over-powering, and people are not likely to ask you what perfume you are wearing. The price of Suave is sometimes less than half of that of Secret deodorants. Suave is the most economical choice. The scent variations of suave are many, however its competitor, Secret, has many more options when it comes to choosing scent. Suave however, due to price, is sometimes sold out in discount stores.

Secret too, works great. It lasts all day, just as it should. The scent is not as subtle as with Suave. The scent is quite strong, and while pleasant, I have had people ask me what type of perfume I was wearing, when I the only thing I was wearing was my deodorant. The price of Secret is a little on the high side. Being a savvy shopper, I generally do not buy Secret, when I can purchase something just as effective for nearly half the cost. Secret has many scent variations and this is the one advantage is has over its competition. When I bought the bottle of Secret Scent Expressions, I bought it for only one reason, it smelled great! There are many more scent choices when it comes to Secret deodorants and antiperspirants than there are with the Suave brand.

In conclusion, both brands of deodorant do the job they were intended to do. Both have many product variations. Secret has more scent choices; however, the Suave choices are not limited by any means. Secret is more expensive than Suave. In comparing the two, I recommend Suave. The price is right, it works, and the scent is not over powering. So if you are looking to save money, and can find a scent that you find pleasant, Suave is the practical choice. If you do not mind spending a little extra and finding a unique scent that is very strong, Secret is your choice.

As for me, I will choose Suave every time! I like to save money. The product works great. I just don't see any reason to spend more on a product that works the same as a less expensive product.

I like secret but suave makes good shampoo so I'd be willing to try that too.
