(GRM) "Lost" Poem #1

This breadcrumb trail
we write,
devoured,
could never lead you home.
But still these coarse,
dry thoughts are flung
as lights across
the blackened scroll.

This star chart now unrolled,
can only give direction--
can only tell you where, not why--
can't give you destination.

The truly lost
have not a lack
of North and South.

They've just misplaced
the hope
of being found.
