Competitive Cheerleading Teams of Southern California

Ashley
There's no denying that competitive cheerleaders are talented. The competitive squads that compete train long and hard, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't have to be any fun! There are many gyms to join in the Southern California area, and these are only a handful of them! Competitive cheer season starts in approximately November, and though try-outs for the 2008 - 2009 season are over for the most part, there are always classes to get you in to shape and ready for the next cheer season!

Stealth All-Star Cheer

Steal All-Star Cheer is located in Costa Mesa, at the Team OC gym. Team OC opened in November 2006 and claims over 1,600 students. As for Stealth, the team made it's competitive debut in the 2007-2008 season. In it's first year, four teams competed - Mini level 1, Youth level 1, Junior level 2, and Senior Coed level 4. This year, the gym will have nine teams competing.

California All-Stars

The California All-Stars, also known as The Bullets, were founded in April of 2001. It didn't take long for the new gym to gain success. In 2004 it was named amongst one of the Top 20 U.S. Gyms. In 2005, the CA All-Stars won 12 national titles, and continue to add to that number each year.

Cheer Force

Cheer Force is located in Simi Valley. It's hard to believe that it was founded in 2001 with only 2 teams, and now boasts 12 teams! Three of those teams made it to the world competition in Orlando, Florida, last year. Cheer Force's newest gym measures 14,000 square feet.

So Cal Elite All-Stars

The So Cal Elite All-Stars, also known as the Outlaws, were founded in 2005, and now boast a 10,000 square foot gym. The squad features 6 teams.

Other Gyms

The West Coast Mavericks are located in El Cajon, California. The gym is 11,000 square feet and contains a 30 foot long tumble track.

The Platinum All-Stars gym is in Arcadia, California, and is comprised of 7 teams. The gym opened its doors in 2001, and has been producing star athletes since.

There are many other gyms in Southern California. Fierce All-Stars, located in Rancho Cucamonga, has only been opened since 2004, but has proven to be a strong competitor.

Titan Elite has approximately 5 teams, and it was founded in 1999. It seems to be one of the longest running programs. The OC All-Stars are also a big competitor at the competitions. They feature at least 9 different teams.

The Magic All-Stars began in Laguna Hills and now feature at least 4 teams in competitions.

VCSC Pride is another team making waves in So Cal, this time in Ventura.

SCV All-Stars is composed of 13 different teams, and is concentrated in Valencia.

I am soo glad that CheerForce has come to the inland empire. It gives us parents a choice. Good Luck in 09-10 season.

As a former parent of a group in the high desert, I would have to agree that Fierce All Stars is one of the best looking around. I only wish that I could get my daughter there (it is to far for us to travel)

Fierce Allstars has some of the best routines in southern california which is why they continue to take 1st place at the competitions. They also have some of the best staff and best looking uniforms hands down!

Preparing kids for this level of competition is vital to give them a fighting chance. In Southern California (Murrieta, Hemet, San Jacinto) there are reasonably priced cheer organization like SoCal Cheer http://www.socalcheer.com and others like it.
