Pearson Park will once again be setting off their fireworks on July 4th. There will be tons of activities including face painting and fire truck rides. Activities will start around 2 and last till around 10 with the fireworks starting around 9:45. The Red Coat Band will be hosting a concert during the events. Admission is always free, but there may be costs associated to the activities.
Ellwood Arts and Craft Festival starts the weekend of the fourth of July. Not only will you be able to enjoy the arts and crafts your kids will be entertained by the multiple activities that are geared towards them. They have face painting, sand bottle making and much more. Fireworks are set to light up the sky around 10:15 pm on July 5th.
Slovenefest XXVIII at SNPJ has decided to set off their display at dusk on July 11th, there will be a charge for admission.
New Castle will be hosting their 18th annual Fireworks Festival along the Columbus Innerbelt on July 11th. Come out to enjoy the family activities and the amazing food from 3 to 10 pm. The fireworks will be hosted by the famous Zambelli International. Admission is always free.
July 18th will be Enon Valley's Community Day. The fireworks will be displayed around dusk. The admission is free for this event and will be family oriented.
July 19th Scotland Meadows Park will once again be home to Balloon Quest. Admission will be free for this event and the fireworks will be displayed around 10:30pm. Grab your cameras and be ready for this beautiful event with fireworks and hot air balloons.
As you can see Lawrence County takes pride in their fireworks displays and we are known for having some of the best shows in the country. Make sure you mark your calendars to fill up your weekends with these fun family events that for the most part are free. So if you are on a budget in this economy crunch now you have a ton of choices of where to bring the kids for some summer activities.
