My husband Len is the contact lens wearer in our household. He was as amazed as me with the deal. The bottle is 12 fluid ounces (355 ml) and is sterile. It has a complete seal over the top, and if this is broken then it should be returned to the store, where it was purchased.
In the box was a free lens case, so I unscrewed both of them, and opened the bottle. I gave the bottle a gentle squeeze, and it dripped out. So I squeezed a little harder, and a steady stream came out.
At bedtime, Len took out his contact lenses, and put them in the new solution. He has ones that last a year, so we have to make sure that they stay clean all the time, and that no protein build up happens.
On the box it says for them to soak for a minimum of 6 hours, and Len's are normally in for 8 hours. This will clean, disinfect, and remove protein overnight.
Len also cleans his contacts once a day and this entails him putting a few drops of the multi-purpose solution onto the lens, and then rubbing it for 10-15 seconds. He then turns it over and does the same with the other side. He then rinses it off under more of the solution.
I asked Len how the Complete Multi-Purpose Solution worked compared to the other products he has used. He told me that it did the job that he asked of it. His contacts were clear, and left him with great vision. He didn't feel that they were in his eyes, so it was working great.
On the box it states:
"With it's unique easy rub formula, Complete MPS promotes disinfection by removing and killing a broad range of bacteria and microorganisms on your lens to help protect your eyes against infection"
I bought this over a month ago, and as it is such a big size, he is still using it. Len liked the Bio True Multi-Purpose Solution, which is made by Bausch & Lomb, but comparing price, 2 ounce for $2.99, I have to say that the Complete Multi-Purpose Solution is a better buy.
Both solutions look the same, work the same, and Len cannot see any difference in them. That is literally. So for clean contacts that are disinfected, and no protein build up, we will be purchasing the Complete brand.
