There is a wide range of treatments that fall under the category of Complementary Healthcare which include, massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, herbalism, acupuncture, hypnotherapy, yoga, osteopathy and spiritual healing. People are not as afraid to approach a complementary healthcare practitioner with their physical or psychological ailment and some use both the traditional route and the complementary healthcare route in order to find the underlying reason for their condition.
When considering using complementary healthcare very often people do not know where to start. With an increase of complementary healthcare treatments right across-the-board there is a plethora of information readily available in healthfood stores, on the internet and in books such as my own. These outlets provide all the information that you may require and certainly help you off on the right track.
All ailments come from deep within and a patient should be treated in their enterity - mind, body and spirit. Complementary Healthcare is about the person and not just their symptoms. Emotions are also a very deep part of most ailments with the most common being stress, anxiety, shock, grief and depression which can ultimately lead to physical conditions in a patient. I firmly believe that any person who is suffering from a mental or physical ailment is tantamount in helping to cure their own ailment. For me, it is very encouraging to see the resurgance of complementary healthcare treatments and that people are now willing to question their own ability to heal themselves and to "DO WHATEVER IT TAKES" to live a complete and happy life.
