Computer Components: Processors

The Informer
The different components in a computer are 1 of 2 factors you'll look at in buying a computer. So with this article, we'll review the Processor of a computer, and why you want a very good one. If you're looking to buy a computer, I'm sure that after reading this you'll be more aware of what to look for in the computer that's right for you.

The Processor in you're computer is the Brain of the computer. The processor takes in info, and gives out info. It PROCESSES data to run you're computer. It will process a mouse click into the computer action of clicking. The faster you're processor, the faster you're computer will respond. If you think RAM is important, the processor is as important, if not even more. Currently on the market are the Intel Core 2 Duo Processors, Intel Xeon, and the AMD Athalon. The Xeon is by far the best, since it uses the newest technology.

The Intel Core 2 Duo uses 2 processors that will work together to be more intelligent and process more actions faster. The AMD Athalon is old fashioned and obsolete, and can only be found on the non-XPS desktop computers from Dell (XPS is by far the best kind of computer, only buy something different if you have a very low budget, and don't care if you're computer is good or not). The AMD is a simple single Processor that will be slow, compared to today's readily available technology. I reccomend a Intel Core 2 Duo processor for most computers. Xeon would be for computers that you need to operate high calculations (if you have a computer that needs 4 GB to 16 GB of RAM, then you should definitely get a Xeon processor to match. If you are using your computer for anything from e-mail to video editing, use an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor. The Core 2 Duos have different versions that are higher quality than others. Basically, the higher the number (all the numbers are in the thousands), the higher quality processor, and therefore the more expensive.

So you can see that a good Processor would be very important if you'll be doing a lot of things with you're computer. So tune to my CP page for more Components articles, coming up soon! I hope that this Computer Processor article has helped you understand it's importance in a computer.

Article told me absolutely nothing. do i have to go the the manufacturer's web page for a "biased" review of their processors?
