Every company should consider sending its new recruits to an email class. This is an important skill that everyone needs to have today. Even the very basics are enough to get by. They include how to send an email; how to check your email; how to forward an email; how to use your email address book; and the difference between blind copy (bcc), carbon copy (cc) and forwarding an email
Without these skills today you will not be able to find a decent job. Fortunately, there are a lot of free email accounts available today. Sign up for one and teach yourself how to do these things so that you can improve your chances of being hired for a job. Of course, it is just as important to learn email etiquette while you are at it.
The Basic Search
Unfortunately, a lot of people don't know how to do basic research using Google. However, it doesn't stop there. They also don't know how to use Ctrl+F to find things that they want in a document or in a network either. It is important to learn how to do these things because while you will never be able to remember where all of your information on your computer is and it will take you eons to find it all, your computer not only remembers but can find it relatively quickly for you. So, take some time to learn how to use Google and Ctrl+F because these are skills that you will need as an employee in these modern times.
How To Burn CDs And DVDs
While a lot of people like to make CDs and DVDs they cannot seem to burn them. Fortunately, burning technology is a lot easier and a lot less expensive today. If you are using Windows, all you have to do is right click and choose "Send To CD/DVD." It couldn't be easier! The only thing that you need to understand is that data and music are not interchangeable, which is why there are audio/video and data CD/DVDs. Make sure you choose the one that is right for the job that you are doing. While some music players recognize data disks, many do not.
