As a busy mother of five, I don't have a lot of time to spend on primping and pampering. I also run a full time business and I coach youth sports. However, one thing I take seriously is my hair, and I love for my hair to look good. My hair has natural curl and wave that just turns into massive frizz in the Central Texas humidity. I love a smooth, straight hairstyle but it's not so easy to achieve, especially in the summer.
While I have tried many hair tools and styling devices before, I was especially excited to try out the Conair Infiniti Pro Spin Air Brush. This one handy device had multiple tools in one and if it really worked, would likely save me a lot of time. The real question was, will it really work?
When I read the box, I was super pumped up about the product- which signifies good marketing techniques- but would the tool hold up to the claims? The Spin Air Brush promises "50% faster, smoother, less frizz" which are all things I can appreciate in my busy day and humid climate.
Previously, I had two methods of straightening my hair- using a wet-to-dry flat iron which works well for straightening but causes limp, flat hair and flyaways or to use a round bristle brush and hair dryer, along with some styling product to create the perfect "blow out".
The first method is faster but dries out my hair and leaves it flat and limp. The ends look flat, too and it never really appears natural. The second method takes a lot of time to master and it takes more time to achieve the look. As soon as humidity gets to my hair, it frizzes out every time.
The Spin Air Brush has "100x more ions for maximum shine". I had no idea what this was supposed to mean but after using it, my hair looked silkier and shinier instantly. It also had much more volume. I was able to achieve the blowout look with the time and maintenance of a flat iron hairstyle. It was the best of both worlds. My hair did not tangle around the brush or bristles and I love the option to use it with or without the spin.
At first use, the tool seemed heavy and a bit bulky. I had a hard time maneuvering it but once I got the hang of it, it worked great and was much easier than trying to fumble with brushes and a hair dryer on my own hair, which is rather long and hard to reach in the back for styling.
I also had a hard time getting the hang of the tool the first time but by the third time I used it, I was in love. I can see myself using this every day. In fact, I plan to while I am on a beach vacation because it is quick and easy and I think it will be possible to do more than just straighten my hair with it. It will be perfect for quick-fixes after hitting the beach or the pool and for taming my locks before heading out for an evening dinner.
The Conair Infiniti Pro Spin Air Brush will make it even easier for me to get ready and always look my best, even with kids in tow. The different settings allow me to do different styles with my hair, style it when not fully dry and save time.
