Madrid-based online store, Curiosite, has found a solution by making a new rubber latex condom, Condometric. The condom has a ruler printed on the side. Condometric is due for release in 2009.
The Condometric is a single use prophylactic that will not only protect against sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy, but it will tell the wearer just how long his penis measures. It may be a novelty condom, but there is a market for it.
Why would a man wear a Condometric? Well some men attempt to measures the length of their manhood using a ruler, but the results could be skewed by the person doing the measuring if not done properly. With the Condometric condom there is no room for error.
Who would purchase such a condom? This condom is best for a man that wants to truly know the length of his penis and isn't afraid of the results. Curiosite is marketing the product to confident men that are comfortable with their size. Some may even want to show off.
Also, a woman might purchase one of these condoms to measure her lover and to see if he was lying about the length of his manhood. And of course there will be plenty of people that will purchase a pack of Condometrics just for some fun or a gag gift.
Is the ruler the only feature of the condom? No. The makers of the Condometric have provided the condoms in flavors including cherry: Cherry Rider, lime: Katana Lima and banana: Papito Banana. The condoms are various colors, pink, green and yellow according to the flavor. There is a Natural Power style available, which is just that, a natural rubber condom.
Is it safe? Curiosite claims that the ink on the condom will not cause any allergic reactions. The only concern would be for those allergic to latex.
How is it used? The Condometric is used just the same as other latex condoms. It has a width of about 2 inches. There is space at the top to account for the reservoir tip. The condom pack is available in inches and centimeters so a man can measure in the metric system to which he's most accustomed.
How much does the Condometric cost? There are three condom pack sizes: 3, 6 and 12. Pricing is not yet available.
