Confessions of a Chronic List Maker

Or How a Few Websites, Some Paper and a Killer Printer Saved My Life

Susan Pettrone
Chatting with a friend this morning, I offered to send her some info on a favorite vacation destination my family and I frequent. I commented though that I didn't want her address at the moment, to wait a bit because "I don't want to lose it." You see, I was far away from a pad and paper and having far too much on my mind these days, I knew I would never remember the information if I didn't write it down!

This caused my friend to inquire whether I was "putting myself down" to which I replied,"nope, I was being funny" I should have added "...and I'm Queen of Lists" Because I am, she just has no idea of my alter identity.

My close friends and family can attest to the fact that I always have one list or another close at hand with a "to do", "don't forget" or "IMPORTANT" written on it. It isn't as though I have ADD, that would be a relief if that were the diagnosis. Nope, not that....just a simple case of "being forgetful" and not liking to have to run to the store 5 days out of 7 because I "forgot" something that wasn't on the list.

In order to simplify my life this upcoming year, and avoid any shopping trips with two kids in tow when ever possible, I have come to the conclusion that I must become more organized. Parents you can attest I'm sure to the fact that each child will add approximately $20 worth of merchandise to your cart with every trip. With two boys that adds up to $40 I don't really need or want so to keep my shopping trips to 2 per week with perhaps 1 child instead of 2 in tow, I have been checking out some neat shopping/to do lists you can print online for free.

So, here are some links to these lists for those of you who are like me....need to be better organized and need to limit shopping with kids this summer as well as save on gas money, Knock yourself out....just don't forget to put printer ink on your "to buy" list, that's something you may find is essential.

Have a great 2008 and remember spring parties, concerts, soccer practice and piano lessons are just around the corner. And come clean here folks, I don't know one person who couldn't do with another list in a strategically placed area in the house. There are certainly these little gems all over mine, and because of them, I'm a more organized, calmer person as well!

The Gingerbread Nook..... has some of the cutest note pads and lists on the internet which print out wonderfully as well.

Notepads for women has some definitely female themed lists.

These notepads are not your average notepads and have many different designs to choose from. There is something there for everyone who stops in.

Country Clip art has some homey, back to basics notepads which are cute and functional as well.

Friends across America has some great theme notepads which are easy to access and look great as well!
And for those going on any sort of vacation, I hit the jackpot on this page...check out all the lists having to do with vacations here!
