I prop my son in front of the TV so that I can take a quick shower or what else I want to do at that time. When it is bedtime I will turn on the TV he seems to fall asleep in 15 minutes. When he goes to sleep with no TV it could take over an hour for him to fall asleep.
Occasionally I will give into temper tantrums at the store so I can get all of the other shoppers to quit looking at me wondering what I will do next. Sometimes I will fake sick or complain of a bad headache when my Husband is home on the weekends. Doing this will enable me to get a nap or some much needed relaxation. I will try and plan this for when Oprah is on.
When I am feeling lazy and both my 2 year old and need showers I will free up a half an hour and put him in the shower with me. I would but pre-made meals so I do not have to cook a whole dinner and I can plant my butt on the couch.

Post a Commentyep i have utilized the tv at time as well. I do give in alot at times to get the kids to stop whining and screaming when I just need a few minutes peace and quiet. I do suckers in the car so that my kids will sit quiet while I drive. Candy sure does seem to shut them up while in the car. LOL.
