Pros
This machine is easy to assemble. Not many parts to put together and the assembly manual is clear and easy to understand. One person can complete the whole assembly in about half an hour. The assembled unit is pretty small, doesn't take too much space and you can easily store it away once you done exercising.
You don't need to tinker with too many settings to get started. You can just ride and start burning calories. Simple and straightforward which is good for people who just want to get it done. When you want more challenge you can turn the dial for more resistance.
For a cheap exercise machine the on-board computer is pretty good. It accurately tracks speed, distance and time so you can measure your own progress.
Cons
The first noticeable flaw is the handle. It is positioned way too far from your body and it makes you lean forward too much and it just feel awkward. Some people who choose to go with it experience back pain after a couple of minutes exercising.
Next is about the construction. This thing feels flimsy all the way. It wobbles left and right when you starting to get serious. Durability is also a big deal here. This is just a $125 elliptical trainer so durability is certainly compromised. You can't expect it to still working two or three years from now with regular use.
Conclusion
As a starter elliptical trainer the Confidence Fitness Elliptical Cross Trainer can get the job done. It has enough resistance to give you decent workout three or four times a week. If you don't have a big budget or can't justify the need to spend more than $1,000 just to buy an exercise machine this one can be a good choice. Just keep in mind that you may need to replace it with a new one in less than a year.
