Conflicting Values on Youtube

You tube. A simple idea that took off into the stratosphere, but I have to voice my opinion that perhaps there are some weird value systems going on here.

Why so? you ask, well shut the hell up and I'll tell you. A few months ago I was browsing around like most of us do, and I came across a clip from the comedy skit show 'Little Britain'. This particular clip concerns a couple of steroid laden muscle jocks called Mark and Tom. Funny stuff, including some full (fake) frontal nudity - showing genitalia that are as small as the rest of their bodies are large.

Funny stuff I think and send the link to my wife for a laugh. The next day my wife tells me that the link is dead and sure enough I can no longer find this video, which has apparently been taken down because some up-tight old biddy got her knickers in a twist and managed to have it removed.

In contrast to this mildly naughty piece of comedy you can still witness the following. People being stoned to death, people falling to their deaths in various ways, cruelty to animals, pit-bull fighting, hazing etc. So my question is......is anyone monitoring the content that gets loaded onto you tube. It doesn't really seem like it. And these are videos that are on the normal you tube site, and not the adult verified version which has god-knows what - 'Child rape, ku-klux clan kill a coon of the week video, serial killing for beginners' - who the hell knows what.

So yes, I am as morbidly curious as the next person but I think the good old U.S. of A. suffers for its freedom of speech, in that people will take advantage. Don't believe me, look at AIG taking your money and mine and laughing at the constitution. There needs to be some sort of responsibility for what is shown and therefore deemed acceptable. Certainly feeling free to show things that are clearly illegal is a ridiculous way to carry on and will only help to desensitize us all to death, pain and suffering, which will end up in us becoming the uncaring society our parents always warned us about.Think about what is being shown on Youtube says about our SocietyAt what point do you have to say, enough - too much freedom.Freedom = Anarchy = Lawlessness = Uncaring Society
