In 5th grade, ConFlix decided to pick up the pen and start writing his own song lyrics based around Bible verses. Although he never planned to record any of his writing at the time, it set the stage for the next series of events that would eventually launch is music career into what it is today.
Around 8th grade, ConFlix decided to start taking his writing seriously, so he began to write every day in school. He didn't have much guidance in the craft, because he didn't have any friends that shared his passion, or so he thought.
Around the same time, long time friend, Sinatra Vegas, who was known as Legacy, had also been working on his rhyme skills. Even though the two had been friends since 4th grade, neither of them knew that the other shared the same passion. After a revealing phone conversation, the two started working on their craft by "keystyling" all summer on Hip Hop message board. ConFlix was undefeated in the "keystyle" battle arena, which led him to finally try out his skills on the mic.
Just as he was entering high school, ConFlix recorded "Just Spittin" and posted it online for all to hear. To his surprise, the feedback was very good, and it only served to fuel his desire that much more.
High school was a completely different development environment when it came to honing his rap skills. At his high school, all of the Hip Hop heads hung out together at lunch, so it was easy for ConFlix to practice when he felt the urge. Every day at 2nd lunch, everyone would get together and start a cypher, which created an "all eyes on me" atmosphere which intimidated ConFlix at first.
In the beginning, nobody at school liked his style, but he kept writing and practicing everyday. ConFlix wrote all that summer and straight through to the 11th grade where him and Bobby B became good friends.
In 2002, Bobby B was the first person to convince ConFlix to go to an actual recording studio to get a better feel for rapping. Along with Sinatra Vegas, the three recorded a freestyle over the "Lets Get It" instrumental that was getting a lot of spin on the radio that year. The track came out pure fire and got a great response on the Internet.
Around the same time, ConFlix met local producer Chill C, and signed with his local label Empire Music Group. Although ConFlix was excited to be signed, in his heart, he wanted to start and run his own label. In his short time with Empire Music Group, he only recorded three tracks, and never released the album. Even thought things didn't work out with the local label, ConFlix and Chill C remained friends and kept in touch.
In 2004, ConFlix started So Sick Entertainment, which didn't exactly get off to the running start that was expected. He kept the label going, but didn't release his first mixtape until 2006. Not knowing much about the business side of music, promotion, and marketing, the mixtape didn't get the push it should have. Diappointed with the overall production and performance of the mixtape, ConFlix got back in the lab and released Flixtape Vol. 2: The Antidote in 2007.
The Antidote caused a small Internet buzz for ConFlix, which encouraged him to get back in the lab once again and start recording Flixtape Vol. 3: Return Of The King and The Antidote 2 at the same time. Now that ConFlix has a lot more experience and business sense, he has restructured and renamed his label for better marketing ability. So Sick Entertainment is now Yessur Entertainment and boasts a roster of some of the best Hip Hop artists in the state of Nevada.
