As for us New England Patriot fans, we'll be fine. As for me, I'm glad this season has finally come to an end. Not the results we hoped for, but allow me a few final observations. First, come on Mr. Specter. We all love our football teams, but bringing up spygate two days before the game? Please. Say whatever you want, explain it away all you can, but who is a worse sport, you or Robert Kraft? It didn't matter, in the end, or so we all think, but poor sportsmanship is now linked to another name, instead of the Pats, for a change. Second of all, so long Mercury Morris. Here's hoping that we never have to see you on another interview, ever. You and the coach can relax, nobody is in your hood. For future reference though, try not to get so angry the next time, if there is one, when a team "dares" to challenge your perfect record. I hope it's time for you to permanently retire, see Mr. Specter for the sportsmanship lessons. Good luck.
Thirdly, thank you to the national media for vilifying a very good football team, with 53 good athletes, a great owner, and a great coach. What amazes me, and it always will, is how the same team that was bashed after week 1, was picked by everyone, except a rare few, to win it all. It's not nice to jump on a bandwagon to look smart, because in the end, only a few of you got it right. Shame on you all, you didn't play nice.
Finally, thank you to the New England Patriots for putting yet another quality football team on the field. You were fun to watch, exciting to listen to every week, and a good example to all not to let naysayers affect your week to week performance. I wish you could have shown a little more disappointment in your loss in the Super Bowl, but we'll all be back for you next August, because we love you, and hope we can get it finished right next year. Do us all a favor though, lose a game at some point in the season, and then win out. Congats again to the World Champion Giants, and good luck next year. The media circus will hopefully show up in your locker room this time.
