At what point does America say enough is enough? At what point to we take notice and elect officials who will put the safety and security of our nation above whether or not we use incandescent or florescent light bulbs in our homes? At what point do we insist our veterans receive the best health care this country has to offer?
Jim King is a candidate for Congress in the 5th District of Florida. King's strong dedication to our military and homeland security are evident in his Unity Platform, which includes immediate suspension of all government subsidies to illegals including Social Security, Worker's Compensation and health care, as well as construction of the barrier fence on the southern border. King realizes that mixed with "Juan" coming to pick lettuce is "Mohammed" who is dedicated to his Jihad against our nation. King tells AmericanTruckersAtWar he is adamantly opposed to the proposed Mexican Truck Pilot program for several reasons, focusing in on national security. "We do not need trucks coming across the border unfettered," he says, stating that he is also opposed to exporting the job of the American trucker to Mexican nationals.
Granting a thirty day amnesty to employers who continue to hire illegal aliens is at the top of King's platform. Putting such businesses on notice, they will have thirty days to clean house before letting ICE out in full force. "Once you cut off the source of income for those who come illegally," states King, "it will be easier to find the terrorists who assimilated into the mix." They will be the ones who stay.
An armed military and/or civilian contractors are not off the table when it comes to the border. "Whatever it takes." King noted further that while the use of private contractors whether in Iraq or on the border is necessary, it is the United States Government who's responsibility it is to keep our nation secure.
In addition to the commitment to homeland security, King realizes that our government has failed our nation's military, the very men and women who are fighting for that security. Our country's health care is among the best in the world yet our heroes in uniform fight for decent care. Promising to be the special interest candidate for veterans nationwide, he will set up a clearing house to get veterans' issues resolved. It is deplorable that in a nation that can provide free health care to other nations, our own veterans cannot get adequate treatment for injuries received protecting us.
Regarding the United Nations, King believes we should cut our funding by 80%. To fund an organization filled with nations who do not support us "is appalling". At no time would King support our military to fall under UN jurisdiction.
In Jim King, Florida has a candidate who is willing to stand up for our military and our veterans and with a clear understanding of why we are at war, who we are at war with and steps necessary to secure our nation. For more information on Jim King, please visit www.needanewcongress.com.
