For those of you unknown of how the game works I will give you the quick explanation that the site gives.
"The game is played on a map (there is a wide variety of maps to choose from), divided into regions, which are grouped into zones. To start, three troops are placed on each region and they are randomly divided amongst the players. Any of the remaining regions that do not divide equally are made neutral. Players then take turns deploying troops, assaulting opponents and reinforcing their regions".
The site offers a couple advantages to classic risk. One there are numerous maps and settings that you can play with. These options include fog of war and team play. The site offers games where players have 24 hrs to take a turn. I have found that the tournaments that the site does makes for even more fun.
The site also offers a premium package for $25 for a year membership which allows players to play as many games as they want at a time. It also allows premium members to play speed games which take turns each 5 minutes.
I think the site is great if you are looking for a Risk game or another strategy game to play online. I think that you can have a ton of fun as free member. I would suggest playing as a free member first and if you want to play more often then you can upgrade. Once again the site for the game is www.conquerclub.com

I'm digging Victors United as well. I'm finding it a lot slicker than Conquer Club. After taking a few turns at VU, I went back to CC and immediately noticed the difference.
Heh Vinson,
I agree - Victors United is filling my need for turn based risk. Thanks for pointing it out to me!
Conquer club has a lot going for it but it's not perfect. I HATE how long it takes to get a tournament set up.
This week I found a new site called victors united, it's still in beta but I like it cause it's free and you can change all the game options.
http://www.victorsunited.com/
http://www.conquerclub.com is a terrific website for sure when it comes to online risk play!
