Consciousness Shifting

Rebecca Schmoll
A new year is fast approaching and people are moving swiftly alongside a shifting global consciousness. I found it somewhat peculiar that I have been following this path for quite a few years without ever taking into consideration why I chose this direction in the first place. The topics of spirit and consciousness began to weigh quite heavily on my mind and has only tightened its grip since the moment I allowed such information into my being. So what is this shift that everyone is talking about?

The consciousness of every living thing, including the earth and universe, is evolving. With the Internet becoming a global connection tool, people are learning and communicating at incredibly increasing rates. We are no longer in the dark when it comes to the ways we, and everyone else in the world, live. Power over people is beginning to dissolve because we are no longer accepting the actions of those who we call the leaders of our countries. People are tired of the state our world is in, and thanks to a global connection, we have an increasing ability to shift our conscious, communicate, and literally transform our world. We are becoming a whole new, continuously evolving species in our current civilization. We are smack dab in the middle of history.

So where does this leave the individual? Well, each and every one of us holds the ability to make choices about the way we live our lives. We can decide to avoid this shift and live by the voices of the ego, or we can rise up to the truth of who we really are, which is a reality we cannot escape regardless. We can make bad choices, hurt others, live in denial and watch our lives reflect these choices. We can embrace spirit/consciousness, live as one, follow our inner guides and allow this shift to occur smoothly within our own being. We make these choices every moment of our lives; it is expressed through our actions. We have all fallen victim to the reigns of the ego, but what choice do we make when we are aware of a better way of living? A life full of giving, of gratitude, of abundance. Letting go of our fears of who we think we are can transform a life in an instant. I am grateful to embark upon this journey with you. Namaste.
