You might be bothered where the population of U.S. is at. In Year 1999-2000, National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey had a statistics that shows almost two third of the adult population in US is in excessive weight or what we call as overweight and more frightening is that almost 30% of the population is obese. The gathered information on obesity should be given attention and concern because obesity could lead to very bad health and can be deadly. Obesity is one of the major health problems of Americans aside from morality rates.
Obesity only leads to fatal and bad effects and if the body remains overweight, only a slimmer chance for it to recover. A number of obesity related health problems in U.S. and other parts of the world have been proven. Different obesity health effects include heart diseases, type 2 diabetes, congestive heart failure, respiratory breathing problems, stroke, hypertension, sleep apnea, high blood cholesterol, and hirsutism which is having excess body and facial hair.
Effects in obesity are really serious. Most common effects include poor female reproductive health which include infertility, menstrual irregularities, irregular ovulation, pregnancy complications, degeneration of cartilage; psychological disorders which may lead to low self esteem, depression, distorted body, bone of joints or what we call as osteoarthritis, urine leakage also known as stress incontinence. Some form of cancer could also result, like breast cancer, prostate cancer, uterine cancer and others.
Aside from those effects of obesity, it may be particular to gender. It has been determined that obese women have weight circumference of more than 35 inches which contains high visceral fats which walls the internal organs. High risk consistent condition can develop, like diabetes, liver diseases and heart diseases. And for the Men, effects in obesity are also some serious conditions which include rectum or also known as colon cancer, prostate cancer and suffer from sleep apnea.
Therefore we can observe that obesity only leads to unhealthy life resulting to serious health conditions and could also be chronic. So it must be a necessity to keep our health on tract and avoid obesity which can be done through balance diet, regular exercise and checkups. We must discipline ourselves if we want to avoid obesity. Discipline is the key to it. Effects of obesity have high risks health problems. So we must love and take care of our life.
