One of the most likely changes would be the addition of Ronald Reagan's bust sculpture. President Reagan was one of the most admired American Presidents and ended the cold war. He recently passed away and many of his supporters would like to honor his achievements. I agree that Ronald Reagan was one of the best presidents America has had. The only problem is that constructing an additional 60-foot sculpture of Reagan to add onto the existing structure could be risky. There is a possibility that the current Mount Rushmore monument could be damaged. Why get rid of Abraham Lincoln and replace with Ronald Reagan you ask? Experts are now suggesting that Abraham Lincoln, our 16th President of the United States, was most likely gay. Many Christian conservatives are upset by this and would like to have Abraham Lincoln's face removed from Mount Rushmore. Even though Abraham Lincoln fought against slavery, for some the main issue of his worth would be his sexual orientation. Of course, another alternative would be just to replace all the presidents on Mount Rushmore. There is a petition being sent to the U.S. congress that would change the presidents at Mount Rushmore to be Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush. These presidents represent our modern times and Mount Rushmore is due for some major renovations. Why not? I for one am not one for erasing history and I really think that there will be some people that will disagree with the removal of Abe Lincoln. I am not for sure if we can remove him for reasons grounded that he was gay. I just do not find that quite fair to be honest to erase history.

However, just in case any unpatriotic nutjob WERE able to ever feild are REAL petition such as this, they should know they would arrive at yon mountain with their tools and equipment only to find a hundred thousand rednecks with rifles pissed off and ready to rock anf roar. Me among them. This is still America, and its still inhabited by more than a few Americans reguardless of which yahoo inhabits the white house.
