Consider Unity as a Movement

Having something to say of value often eludes even the greatest of thinkers. To speak truth, while revealing a future strategy worthy of consideration, is a noble intention. To hint at a prospective awakening that beckons to us a better way of operating about this reality, may be the only way out of this mess. There's more of a mess than one, that's apparent. We're in a financial mess, a terror mess, a political mess, a spiritual mess, and a mess of morality in general. Where are we to turn for the answers?

I'm not the one to define this reality as such, but perhaps I could provide a way of thinking that simply begins to open your mind to the set of unbelievable circumstances we now find ourselves. We must all strive for improvement in our lives. Not only our own, but in the lives of everyone we happen to encounter along the way, and I do mean EVERYONE! Give up selfishness while maintaining the self with whatever it does in fact need, but give up your own set of goals, and work toward a goal set that is COLLECTIVE in nature. A good example, and an obvious one to me, is the musician dynamic. We are all individuals working toward a collective goal, and once that goal has been articulated, and articulated again, the path lay lit before us. Just an example, but a good one. There are many more. Simply embody the teamwork mentality held within a mindset of serving others rather than self, and the world has a chance to change back into a place worthy of being.

Right now, I'm not too sure it's on track, so all I know to do is state the obvious over and over again until someone acknowledges that there are plenty of problems, and not nearly enough solutions for our generation. Nobody's all that safe anymore, and the feeling of safety will likely fall off as the days continue on. There's a fear mongering media that wants nothing more than to cause us to have nightmares about some horrifying new disease or recalled paramedical flu shot.

I know I ask a lot, but don't get bent with my suggestions. These are the ways to improve our lives, but very few can maintain this state of selflessness. We inevitably fall back into the cycle of serving self. Once that occurs, we're right back where we started, and then we're no good to yourself or anyone else.

Let's get radical and consider this. Join a movement, but be choosy on which movement you choose. If after you've looked, there aren't any good options, then simply start your own movement. Remember to fashion your efforts so that they are structured to serve rather than to earn. Don't do this for money, do this for humanity. I am my own movement, and although I have yet to formally define my mission statement or corral my loyal devotees, I do strive to effect change in harmonious ways as I go about my day. Think about it for yourself, and let me know what you get started.
