I love my Apple iPod Nano 1 gig!��
It's streamlined design makes it easy to carry anywhere.� It holds hours of music, in addition to having other useful features.� The sound quality is better than I had expected.� It's very easy to use even for the technologically impaired such as myself.

The Apple website cliams that the Apple iPod Nano is as thin as a pencil... I agree, if we are talking about a very skinny pencil.� The iPod Nano is tiny enough that it can be put into a pocket (along with other things) and carried anywhere.� Like the other iPod models, the iPod Nano can be plugged into a car stereo's auxillary port and played throught he car's speakers.� If there is no auxillary port, an FM transmitter can be purchased at an electronics store for about $60.00.

Although the 1 gig is the smallest iPod made by Apple, I find that it holds about 240 songs (depending on the length of the songs) and that is plenty for me!� It's also fairly easy to change the songs saved on the iPod should the owner tire of the current playlists.

The sound quality is surprisingly good!� I didn't expect such a big, clear sound form such a small device!� As will all MP3 players, the overall quailty of the music depends a lot on the quality of the MP3s downloaded.� I find that free using free services like Limewire does not always produce very good results.� iPod owners would be better off paying for legal MP3s, which Apple makes easy using the iTunes music store.

Operating the iPod Nano is the same procedure as operating it's larger predecessors.� Apple includes the iTunes software wtih every iPod, which is easy to install on your computer, and fairly user friendly.�� One is able to download music from the iTunes music store, arrange MP3s into personal playlists, and assign personal ratings to songs all with the easy to use�drag and drop feature on the iTunes software.��
Updating the iPod is also ultra-easy!� A USB cord (included with the iPod purchase) is simply plugged in to the iPod and to the USB port on the computer - then iTunes does the rest of the work for you!� There's nothing more for the user to do, but wait for the iPod to display it's 'updated' icon in a matter of minutes!
To charge the iPod's battery, the device is plugged by USB into a computer, just like with updating.� The device will fully charge in under an hour, and will hold it's charge for about 14 hours.� There is a battery life monitor in the upper right corner of the iPod's screen to let user's know when the battery is running low.� It's been my experience that when a low charge is indicated there is still 60-90 min of life left in it.
Navigation is easy to do.� Just use the clickwheel like with the older incarnations of the iPod.

In addition to holding music the iPod Nano 1 gig can hold up to 25,000 color photos, it has a calendar function, a contacts list, and to-do lists!�� The iPod Nano is also compatible with audio-books and podcasts.

I have heard that the iPod Nano screen is easily damaged, however mine is still intact (with not a scratch on it,) and I have dropped it several times... So I'm not sure if there is much truth to that.

Overall I think this featherweight MP3 player is one of th best ones on the market!� It's compact, vesatile, easy to use,� holds hours of music and more!
