Since the birth of my first child almost 3 years ago and especially since the birth of my second a year ago I've been on the search for a diaper that is both reliable and inexpensive. My search has led through a dizzying array of store brands and generics with both good and bad results. Next on my agenda was White Cloud Diapers so off I went to my local Wal-Mart to pick up a package.
In the interest of full disclosure I must let you know that this was not my first attempt with White Cloud. When my first daughter was an infant I gave them a try and found them rough and prone to leaks. But, since it's been a couple of years and companies tend to improve their products over time I felt it fair to give them another chance. As it turns out I would be glad I did!
Upon opening the package the first thing I noticed was that the pattern had changed from the boring old Looney Tunes line to a very cute series of John Lennon designs. As I lifted a diaper from the package I was immediately struck by how soft they felt to the touch. Even softer than Huggies, in my opinion. This was very promising since the number one complaint I have about generic diapers is that they resemble sand paper more than the soft cotton that you want next to your child's bottom.
The next test was also important: durability. A diaper that leaks within an hour of putting it on your child is worthless. I started to use the diapers on my youngest child a few weeks ago and I am very happy to report that to date there has not been a single leak. Even some of the more expensive brands can't say that so this is definitely impressive.
I have definitely found the new diaper for my child. If you are looking to save some money without sacrificing anything other than the brand name then White Cloud Diapers are for you. I'm definitely glad that I gave them a second chance!

Post a CommentThanks for the info! I had noticed the significant price difference but since I had tried them 7 years ago with my oldest and was not impressed, I chose not to try them again. Maybe I'll give them another shot. Great article! Congrats on Best New Source!
