Controversial Cruelty Free Clothing for Animal Rights

Lori Voth
There are several influential animal rights organizations in our society, in our press and sometimes, whether we like it or not, in our faces. It is interesting to compare the different strategies each organization uses to promote their cause. Some supporters of animal rights choose to operate with a more "behind the scenes" approach; others, such as the notorious PETA Organization (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) tend to express their values more aggressively.

In honor of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month, this article will highlight examples of animal rights related clothing that were created to cause a stir. Unlike the cruelty free products mentioned in the accompanying article titled, "Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month: Shop for Animal Rights" these animal rights promotional strategies are not meant to be subtle. Some might even argue they cross the line.

Nevertheless, the propaganda is continuously amusing and without a doubt, creative. Below are some edgier, more controversial examples of animal rights activism.
