Convenience Abortion: A "Choice" for Wrongdoing
Murder Has Become an Option for the Consequences of the Liberal Lifestyle
This matter is regarded by most feminists and liberals as a women's issue, and these types often howl that men should not voice their concerns. They apparently believe freedom of speech only applies to them and that men don't have rights, in general.
"Pro-choice" is a deceptive term. Men and women who claim to be "pro-choice" are also pro-abortion, as we'll see by these examples:
Let's say you assert you are against slavery, but you advocate the right of your neighbor to own slaves. You are, in fact, "pro-choice" regarding slavery, but what sort of a "choice" is this? One cannot be "pro-choice" without also being "pro whatever the choice is about."
This illustration can also be applied to drunken driving and the point remains. If you would not drive while intoxicated, but refuse to impose your values on your neighbor, you are not only pro-choice, but pro drunken driving, in addition.
Convenience or "drive-thru" abortion rescues people from being responsible (one of the most terrifying fears of liberals). Most individuals who practice laissez-faire lifestyles also want quick-fix solutions such as easy divorce. All of these false remedies prevent people from waking up and admitting they're wrong.
Let's explore some of the common, but feeble arguments regarding abortion that have appeared in recent years:
A Man has no Business Saying Anything
Aware men and women have business saying everything and a right called "freedom of speech." If a man or a woman is decent, then other men and women should listen to him or her.
Life Begins at Birth
A heart begins beating at about the 4th to 6th week of pregnancy. Ultrasound technology shows striking images of the infant in the womb. To what do we attribute this, "the doctoring of photos by pro-life websites?" Medical science almost unanimously agrees that life exists in the womb. Even though liberal individuals usually accept the discoveries of science, they seem to reject these findings when it suits their purpose.
Life Begins at "Viability"
Many accept the idea that life begins when an individual could survive on his or her own outside of the womb. This belief is better than the opinion that life begins at birth, because it will prevent more abortions. However, it is also incorrect. There is no valid explanation why self-sufficiency or the ability to survive on one's own has anything to do with when life begins, which is at conception.
Abortion is all About "Women's Rights"
A significant number of women are opposed to abortion on demand, and they can be seen standing on the other side of the street at rallies. These women, of course, are regarded as traitors to the core by those spending their time, energy and substance crusading for the right to destroy infants in the womb.
Abortion Should be a Personal Choice Between a Woman and her Doctor - the Government Should not Decide
Jay Johansen gives an analogy about how men might think, if they were to reason in such an illogical fashion: "...the question is not whether rape is right or wrong, but who decides - the individual man, or the government? If you're opposed to rape, then don't rape anybody, but don't try to impose your morality on others. Rape is a personal choice between a man and his sex therapist." Thank Goodness, few if any men think like this.
"Abortion is Legal, so it Must be Okay"
Abortion became legal under corruption of the law. The right to be safe in the womb and to enter into the world became violated. Many doctors appear to have turned their Hippocratic Oath into a "Hypocritic" Oath.
A Woman Should Have the Right to do as she Pleases with "Her Own Body"
A woman already has the right do as she pleases with her own body, just as homosexuals already have existing rights. She has the right to eat, exercise, choose a hair style and groom as she sees fit. She has every right imaginable to do as she pleases with her own body. In regard to abortion, we're talking about the newly created life and the new body that has been conceived. Although the new embryo is within "a woman's body," she has the responsibility to care for the life she brought forth, and not murder him or her.
Pro-Life People are Hypocrites Because they Support the Death Penalty
This is one of the most absurd arguments of all. In the first place, pro-life individuals vary greatly on their opinions about the death penalty, Secondly, what does protecting the life of the innocent have to do with punishing guilty murderers?
"Who Will Care for All the Unwanted Children?"
So the solution for the alleged "unwanted" is killing them? Again, it goes back to when life begins. There are lots of people who would love to adopt, and this is often a great solution for young girls who have become pregnant.
If Abortion is Made Illegal, Women will be Forced to Have "Back Alley Abortions"
This reminds me of the Democrat mantra: "If the Republicans get their way, seniors will be forced into losing their health care." Because liberals are wrong and can't come up with arguments based on facts and logic, they have to use lies, scare tactics and fear mongering.
Laws preventing people from murdering the unborn won't affect sensible women one way or the other. It will, however, protect vulnerable women (or girls) from making decisions they could regret for the rest of their lives. All abortions can have traumatic psychological or physical results, and this is not talked about much by the liberal media.
Having good, moral laws in society will only help women and it will not harm them. Saying that it will harm them is a complete falsehood. Girls and women have a wide range of choices apart from "back alley abortions," and this buzz term is mainly a ranting of left-wing feminists and extremists.
It is a "Tissue Mass"
It is a living human being.
Eventually, Roe vs. Wade must be overturned. On that day, look for rioting in the streets as people used to getting their way will behave like spoiled children whose parents awaken and take back control over their home.

Post a CommentThis really is not a woman's rights issue, because it takes two tango and a child is conceived by both a man and a woman. It is entirely possible that a man may be the decision maker in aborting the child and might bully the woman into doing the procedure. Such a man, who could not keep his pants on, may need to be stopped. If, however, abortion is considered a woman's rights issue, then I argue in favor of the conceived infants who are female as well as male.
Ms. Anthony, I have glanced at your comments, and I'm sorry, but most of them don't have validity, respectfully. Since when is it not her body? Since she brought forth the new life, as I already explained. I do not contradict myself, but I'll have to look at what you're referencing when I have more time. A woman already does have the right to decide, and that is whether to spread her legs or not. Now I'm looking at your other paragraph, and what you say is completely not right. Your assertion that legimitate rights of women will be taken away along with a the selfish demand to rub out a child is not true.
cont....
If a woman's right to abortion is taken away. Then all of our other rights are in jeopardy as well. Government can say we don't like women to vote, to have a career, drive a car, to be independant or in some cases if the women is poor they can say she is not fit to be a mother because of economic disadvantage and try to take away her right to be a mother. Imagine not being able to own a property because you're a woman. folks things use to be bizzare during 1800 we can't go backwards. Abortion is a difficult decision. A woman must have a right to decide what happens to her. God has given us a free will. Government need to stay out of a private family matter. Anything short of that is unciviliazed .
on your 11/27/2008 comment you said "I do not feel that someone else should be allowed to impose their belief system on me and I would not impose mine on them..."
Well you're contridicting yourself here by imposing your ideals and opinons as to what governmet's role is in a women's private life.
you also said "it's not her body" since when? I wasn't aware women become bodiless when they get pregnant? What is a pregnant woman worth? in your book she dsn't have a body right? she is just carring a baby.
I beleive abortion is morally wrong. It doesn't please God. It's a sin.
God Gave humans free will and we're free to excersice that will. It's morally wrong to take one's free will and try to justify it somehow.
You know you're wrong. You need to think deeper Marty.
I'm sorry, but it is the duty of government to enact just laws that protect the lives of the innocent. It is NOT "her body." It is the body of the newly developing infant. Therefore, your argument does not have merit, with all due respect. If it were "her body," then what you say would indeed be valid.
Abortion is not an easy decision. But a woman must have a right to her decision. It's her body, her womb.
government needs to stay out of her life period!
It's a private matter.
Very well presented article Marty; to the point and not backing down. Normally, women who have been guilty of aborting are never brave enough, with few exceptions, to come out with the truth of how really guilty they feel.
"I do not feel that someone else should be allowed to impose their belief system on me and I would not impose mine on them..." ...That's exactly what is going on regarding both sides of this issue, or most issues. One side has to impose its belief system on the other, and there can be no in between. Roe vs. Wade was a (dark) victory for those wanting the "choice" to dispose of the life they've created, and they are imposing their belief system on those wanting to protect life...OTOH, I will honestly say I want to impose my belief system, in order to establish sound laws.. It's a conflict between right and wrong, with each side trying to impose its belief system on the other. Please refer to the example I gave, if men would say rape should be a "choice" between them and their sex therapists and not to rape anyone if you don't believe in it, but "don't impose your values."
(continued)
Spontaneous abortions, or miscarriages, occur in 15 to 40 percent of all pregnancies within the first 20 weeks (5 months!). We aren't always certain why. It is thought that many of occur before women even realize they are pregnant. But there is little outcry to find and save these 6, 8, 12 week embryos. No money poured into research to eliminate the high number of miscarriages. Why not? My guess is because most consider these embryo's be little more than a germinated seed.
And until the earliest spontaneous abortions are considered a loss of human life, I find it hard to understand the position that requested abortion of an early pregnancy is any the worse.
That is my belief system. And since we live in a secular country, not a religious state (like Iran or Pakistan), then I am allowed the right to that belief system.
When a germinated seed sprouts in the ground, the average person does not call it a plant. Most would simply say "look! The seed is growing!" At least, at my local garden shop the plant section typically doesn't sell germinated seeds, but plants that have at least reached a seeding state.
Likewise, in my belief system, the concept of when human "life" begins is different from when humanity begins. There is a great deal of variation in such belief systems regarding when "human" life (some say "soul") begins. I do not feel that someone else should be allowed to impose their belief system on me and I would not impose mine on them. That is the core of "pro-choice".
