The Riverfest Bass Tournament will last until 4 PM and one fisherman, or fisherwoman, will walk away with the grand prize. If you have your own kayak, bring it along and enter the Conway Kayak RiverSprint. Races will go on all day and they are not head to head. You race against the clock and the one with the best time will be the big winner. The River Memory Boat Tour last for about 30 minutes. Cruing the river is a nice, quiet way to spend a Sunday afternoon and at a cost of $5 a person, it is a bargain as well.
The Conway National Bank Fireworks Extravaganza begins at 9:30 p.m. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and just relax. There will be entertainment afterward. The Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union Artisans Market will be at Waccamaw Memorial Bridge and will feature craftsmen from the local region. The Osprey Marina Boat Parade on the Waccamaw River will be visible from the Riverfront Park area and the festival grounds underneath the Waccamaw Memorial Bridge. All of the boats will be decorated in an Independence Day theme. To participate in The Riverfest Raft Race, you need to follow precise rules regarding the construction of the raft, but sailing down the river on a raft you built yourself is a once in a lifetime experience and you could win a prize as well. The Rivertown Fruit Scoot is like a rubber duck race, only instead of racing rubber ducks, you race peaches. For the kids, there is the Jello Jump and the Peoples Underwriters Kids Construction Zone with inflatables, pony rides, games and estival food
Pepsi is the official beverage of the festival and there are Pepsi beverage stations all over. The Agape Senior Tram Service is a free tram that will take you to the various venues. The kids will look at it as an extra attraction. The ride is a good time by itself. The Conway Medical Center will have a first aid station and there will be baby changing stations as well.
If you are going to be in the Myrtle Beach area th last weekend in June, consider coming to the Conway area and spend a unique Sunday. Even if you do not participate in any of the activities, you will come away with a vacation memory that you would not get anywhere else.
