Cook, Archuleta, Smithson and Johns Are Racing for the Finish on American Idol

Irene Randall
Tonight was Dolly Parton week on American Idol. I don't think tonight was outstanding like the first Beatles night they had.

Once again David Archuleta showed what a beautiful voice he had when he sang, Smoky Mountain Memories. He has a pure voice. I enjoy listening to him more that I like watching him. It is hard to relate to someone that young. He just doesn't show enough personality for me.

Carly Smithson performed, Here You Come Again. I have felt she could be in the top three since the beginning. I think she will be the only girl still standing near the end.

David Cook is still my pick to win. He sang, Little Sparrow. His songs are beautiful in their arrangements and he is at ease on stage. I really think he will win this year.

Michael Johns sang, It's All Wrong But It's All Right. He can sing rock, blues and ballads. He is attractive and I really enjoy watching him. He has great stage presence. I would really like to see him come in first or second.

These are the four singers that I think are going to be strongly competing against each other at the end. I would be happy to see any of them be the winner. I think this is a really tough season.

Hi - like this article - I wrote an article about Dolly Parton night too! Come see me, and look for "Jesus was a Star this Week on American Idol - it's all about the song choices that week. And I was a huge fan of Michael Johns! Still can't believe he's gone, altho' I think the race to the finish will be between the other 3 in your title.

Do not count out Brooke White she has a large following. She just has to pick it up. David Archuleta and Johns have not been consistent and you can not afford mistakes now. There is alot of talent this year.

I agree with a lot of what you feel. I love little David Archuleta, and even though he is young he is so sincere and humble and of course unbelieveable talented. I really like Brook for the same reason. I think that David Cook really has proven his talent. He definitely was the dark horse and has far exceeded himself in proving that he is worthy of being number one, but then I feel that way about Michael Johns, who is definitely in my book the easiest to look at! Carly is phenomenal. I wouldn't be upset over any of these for winners, The David's Michael or Carly. Great recap!
