Cookie Monster Activity Ideas

Letter of the Day

Have a letter of the day, just like Cookie Monster. Start out in the morning talking about the letter of the day. Then throughout the day find things that start with that letter. At the end of the day have your child draw a picture of some of the things they remember seeing.

What's in the Cookie Jar?

Use something that cannot break, like a paper sack with a cookie jar drawn on the front. Put items inside without the kids seeing. Then Ask a child to put their hand in and see if they can guess what it is.

Cookie Decorating

What would a day filled with Cookie Monster be without decorating and eating cookies? Provide your child with frosting, sprinkles, chocolate chips and other small candies and let them create and eat their cookie masterpieces.

Host Your Own Monsterpiece Theater

Tell a story like Cookie Monster in Monsterpiece Theatre. Provide the kids with dress up clothes and let them act out a fairy tale or read them a story and let them act it out. Encourage them to have the story show a moral such as how it is good to help others or sharing.
