Cookies 'N Scream! Another Wickedly Awesome Trick-or-Treat Candy from R.M. Palmer

Every year Palmer Chocolate puts out a couple of new items in their Halloween line; the Cookies 'N Scream caught my eye because of the color of the bag and the price of a dollar a bag. The pieces are individually wrapped in foil with colorful designs on them but these are not something that you are going to want to hand out to the boo's and ghoul's that come knocking at your door. They do not have a safety seal on them so chances are parents are going to throw them in the trash rather than risk having their kids eat something that isn't safe. If you are looking for something that is completely sealed, Palmer offers a lot of "bucket safe" candies and treats.

The Cookies 'N Scream pieces are shaped like skeleton heads and are made with while milk chocolate; these are not small pieces and I had trouble getting through a whole piece without stopping and I am a chocolate junkie. Inside the white chocolate mix there are small cookie bits; this gives it a great taste and breaks up the amount of milk chocolate that it has. The faces of the skulls have textured cavities that are decorated with different color chocolate. They aren't the prettiest looking things but they are something cool that you can add to a Halloween piñata or in to treat bags you may be making for kids.

Overall these have a great taste to them but they are extremely sweet. The six ounce bags are only a dollar but you only get ten wrapped pieces per bag so if you need a ton of these you are going to have to plan accordingly and do the math. A serving of three pieces is 220 calories but I really don't think anyone would be able to eat three of these at one time. Cookies N' Scream are a nice addition to Palmer's Halloween seasonal line of edible treats and something that gets the FreakMamma thumbs-up "seal of scare" approval!
