Cooking Lesson -- a Drabble
Her carefully manicured hands worked as she spoke, demonstrating the recipe for her audience. "It's simple. You cut the chicken, throw it in there with some butter, and just swirl it around with some spices. All that you need to do then is make a bed of rice and veggies to put the chicken on. Voila! Instant gourmet meal."
The little girl stared wide-eyed at her mother's directions, blonde pigtails bouncing. "That's it?" She could have sworn her mother had used magic instead.
"That's it. You were wondering how I make Daddy's favorite meal and that's how I do it."
