Cooking Mama CookOff - Wii Game Review
Nintendo Wii Puts Out Another Dude, Dependent on the Novelty of the Controller
Alright... lets think about it more objectively. It wasn't that bad. This game is the only one I've played thus far that seems to ignore the Wii controller, even part of the time. Also some of the "mini" games are slightly fun. Its game play is addicting if you like that sort of thing. I will warn you, it gets repetitive, and every recipe, regardless of nationality or origin, feels the like your making the same thing. Also If it wasn't for the fact that the game just feels like a complete Warrio Ware clone, then it would be fine, unfortunately I'm going to trade it in.... yep, it passes with slightly addictive game-play. But the broken pieces, especially considering this whole game relies 100% on the Wii controller working, make it nearly unbearable for me to play.
~Bottom Line Game-Time~
Good graphics, as far as the Wii is concerned. But broken play, along with frustrating mini-games. Couple that with the fact that the two player offers nothing new, makes me think this particular Warrio-Ware clone, just isn't meant to be. I love Wii sports, and this game offers none of the things I like, in packaging strait outta Hongkong. The saving grace from this game, comes from the fact that, despite its' repetitive, annoying, and broken game play, you get slightly sucked in for a few minutes at a time. Lets hope, for the sake of my three-hundred dollars, that the Nintendo Wii will put out something that will impress me sometime soon. Salute!
Score: 4 out of 10

Post a CommentI like the game just fine. It's a cooking game. Of course you need to peel your own veggie's. What else would you do in a cooking game, really? You open cans too. If you don't want to peel veggies or open cans, buy something else.
There are some really good games out for Wii right now why don't you try Godfather: Blackhand edition or Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess
