What was going on?
I had to find the answer and soon found a purple haiku contest being held in celebration of Yahoo!'s purchase of Associated Content with a $100 prize. So cool!
What was this? A haiku?
I remembered from somewhere back in my old school brain memories that a haiku was poetry consisting of three lines with 17 syllables. I can't believe that's still accessible in these crusty memory banks, but hey, some thoughts actually stayed well formatted in that head of mine. I know...goody for me. But hey, it could be good for you too. Write one yourself and see what perplexities you can promote, I dare you.
Sounds easy enough, but can I pull off the purple preponderance of perfect poetry?
