Cool Comic Book Technology that Should Be Made Real

Nicholas Ward
This technology found in the comic books is just too cool to stay there. Here you will find five of the coolest comic book technologies that should be made real. This list is by no means all inclusive, but it contains some of the coolest in my opinion.

Batman's Car

Batman's car, from the oldest comics to the newest, has always been one of the fastest and most ingenious car designs yet. In one of the more recent movies his car even turned from a rugged looking car, into a bike after a disastrous strike in a tunnel. Just imagine if you could quickly recover from such an accident, and be right back on your way, or the ability to drive on the tops of tunnels.

Ultra Violet's anti-gravity boots

These boots where one of the most interesting things found in the movie Ultra Violet, her boots allowed her to defy the laws of physics, and walk an walls, drive a bike up the side of buildings, and so much more. The invention of these anti gravity boots could potentially render roads and elevators useless, and create an alternate means of transportation.

Dare Devil's staff

As can be seen in Elektra, this staff extends for as much as a mile allowing Dare Devil to reach distant objects, and even sling himself from roof-top to roof-top. If such an invention where made today, it would surely be a great asset to the blind or elderly.

Transformers

The Transformers perform more functions then the average car, carry weaponry which could be used by the military, and the spy capabilities are endless. Where the transformers to be invented, they would quickly become the national spy vehicle of choice. The implications of such an inventions are endless, so many unique ideas could spring forth in using this kind of technology.

Spider Man's web canister

If your not familiar with Spider Man and his web-slinging, then you should definitely check it out. Spider Man's web canister, could possibly provide a new building material for temporary structures similar to rope ladders, and of course who doesn't like swinging on the rope swing?

More inventions

There are many more comic book inventions, which could have significant practical real world uses then just these. However, I can not cover them all, and these where the most highly anticipated inventions I could think of. I can't imagine anyone considering these to be useless.

  • Comic books depict spider man slinging from roof to roof, even when there are no roofs!
  • In the comic book movie based on batman his car turned into a bike after a catastrophic crash.
  • The transformers are one crazy new tech, that I for one would love to see in real life.
Comic books don't necessarily depict real world practical uses of the technology they display, but rather, often times this technology is under estimated or even kept from the general public.
