Cool Hand Drew Brees a Lucky Saint or Second Year Fluke?

Sports Blurbs

When any NFL fan views the city of New Orleans there comes a jubilation of joy knowing that Drew Brees gave the New Orleans City a feel good story for 2010. New Orleans and the Gulf Coast has endured so very much in the last seven years that it would seem that the only good news that would uplift a city which was dealing with so much adversity would come to rely on their Saints football team to give them the inspiration they need to believe that they could achieve the impossible dream by finally winning a Super Bowl title.

Drew Brees has now made a believer out of the Saints fans who were once donned as "the ain'ts" - to move away from the negative stigmatism and personification of being a once losing team to now becoming America's new favorite team.

Drew Brees has proven that he is no fluke concerning his game play, leadership, and outstanding knowledge and respect for the game he has come to love. Brees 2008 season was a record breaking season for the QB as he almost broke Dan Marino's 5084 yards - most yardages passed in a single season; Brees passed for 5069 yards and completed 34 touchdowns, a New Orleans Saints record.

Since Drew Brees joined the New Orleans Saints in 2006 - he has brought a positive karma to the Saints organization, but does he have what it takes to make a repeat in 2011?

In view of NFL history, there have been five of the last 11 Super Bowl winners that did not return to that hallowed place, not to mention the fact that they did not even make the playoffs the following year.

The main question for cool hand Brees may be will he be a lucky Saint in 2010 - or a second year fluke that may never win another Super Bowl title?
