One of the first ones you should look at is the Wagan 6L Personal Fridge. It comes out of the box with the ability to plug into the 12 volt cigarette lighter plug that is in your card. It has a 6 liter capacity, which is not terribly large, but large enough to fit some milk and a few cuts of meat cold. It is also small enough to carry around. It costs around eighty dollars and you can purchase it at Safe Home Products. http://www.safehomeproducts.com/shp2/product/wagan-6-liter-personal-fridge/warmer/coolers-ice-and-thermoelectric/cooler-wagan-ice/159789/159789.aspx
Another inexpensive camping refrigerator that you can often find online for under 100 dollars is the Coleman PowerChill Hot/Cold Thermoelectric Cooler. It also uses a 12 volt lighter plug and keeps food cool to 40 degrees below the temperature outside. Lastly, it is insulated that helps conserve energy and keep the food cool. The retail price is 122 dollars, but I have seen this cooler on sale for 99 dollars or below at place like Camping World.
Looking for something a little larger, you can get a 12.5 liter Cooler from Overstock.com which also works with the 12 volt cigarette lighter. It also comes with a detachable power cord that can be plugged into an electrical power outlet. However, this inexpensive refrigerator can only be used for 10 hours at a time before it needs to rest a little, so you need to ensure that you do not store item in there longer than ten hours that can spoil - soda, beer, cheese, etc....it what this 90 dollar camping refrigerator is recommended for.
Compact Appliance sells a Koolatron Travel Tote which is a 7.5 quart mini fridge for 79 dollars. To give you an idea of how big 7.5 quarts is is that it can hold a 12 pack full of soda cans. It too will run off your 12 volt cigarette connection so that you can just plug it into your car and keep your food cool. The Koolatron is pretty small - weighing in at about 9 pounds - which makes it very portable
Koolatron also makes a 95 dollar 12 volt cooler which has a 26 quart capacity. This is three times the size of the Travel Tote model. Not only would it be good for a weekend of camping, it is also large enough to keep some of essentials cool while working outside around the house. Twenty six quarts is about the right size to hold 36 cans of soda. This means that it is also big enough to hold your weekend milk, lunch meats, and other staples you need to keep cold while camping.
