Cool New Tool to Search Ebay Froogle Yahoo and More

And Best of All It's Free

In my inbox this morning was link to an updated forum thread that blew me away. It's so simple and yet so powerful that it will change the way I search eBay and online auctions completely.

All you have is a small search box which you can type a keyword in to and instantly search over twenty different auction and classified ad websites! Once you have viewed the results at eBay, say, you can use your browser back button to search a different site in just a few seconds! Then you can see if if an item is cheaper elsewhere or, for the auction re-sellers, see if it's way more expensive on other sites. It's so fast and so easy it's just way too cool.

I've been playing with this for a few hours now and it has opened my eyes to a number of sites that I'd never considered checking before. On top of that the Froogle search results can also help identify more sources and competitor prices when browsing and shopping.

Best of all, the search box is free to use and also free for webmasters to place on their websites too as a neat bit of free interactive content for their viewers. I have certainly found it addictive so webmasters take note! Good quality, genuinely sticky, content that will get users returning over and over doesn't come along too often.

You can see the search box in action here or visit the auction forum site that has produced the script and features it on their forum index page. On this page you can snag the HTML code to paste the search box in to your own website.
