Cool Valentine's Day Game Ideas for Kids

Valentine's Day is a month away. That means love is in the air. While some are in the mood for love, others will not be in the love mood. As for the kids, it can be another time of non-stop fun. Here are a few activities that you can play on Valentine's Day with the kids.

Valentine Word Drop: All you need is a bunch of words that are associated with Valentine's Day and scrambled them up. The player with the most unscrambled words is the winner and a get a cool prize.

Valentine Concentration: Just like the classic game of Concentration, the kids have to flip cards that feature words and/or pictures that are associated with Valentine's Day. The player has to match each word or picture in that they flip over. The winner is the one with the most matches.

Valentine Tic Tac Toe: It's a classic game modified for Valentine's Day. Instead of using X's and O's, you use red hearts and blue hearts. It follows the same rules as tic tac toe. However, it gives an old school game some new school fun.

Valentine Bingo: For this fun Valentine's Games, you need are printable bingo cards, conversation candies or Valentine's Day M&M's, cardboard, and a bowl. In this game, each player places the game piece or candy on the bingo card. To win, the player must have 5 in a row across, down, diagonally, or even play blackout by covering all the numbers on the card.

Valentine Card Treasure Hunt: Here's a Valentine's Day Game that will bring out the explorer in your kids. On the night before Valentine's Day, you get all the Valentine Cards you collected in one bucket. Next, you strategically place the cards around the house of room. On Valentine's Day, the players search the areas for Valentine's Day cards. Prizes are given to those who get the most cards.

Valentine Cake Walk: To play this game, you need to place hearts with different conversation messages around in a circle on the floor and call out the messages instead of numbers. Next, play a romantic song, one that's kid friendly. The children each pick a marked spot to stand on around the circle, then some music is started, and the children walk clockwise on the marked spots around the circle while the music is playing. The person handling the music periodically stops the music and the children then stay on whatever spot they are on. The music director then draws from the bowl, and the child standing on that number or picture is the winner.

Guess The Number of Hearts Game: Here's a fun game for the kids! Take several candy conversation hearts or cinnamon hearts and place them into a jar and let each of your guests write down how many hearts they think are inside on a slip of paper with their name on it. Have a Valentine's box with an opening in the top next to the jar for your guests to put their guesses in. The person with closest guess will win the jar of candy.
