Coonley Elementary Announces Annual Spring Fling

The Coonley Elementary School, located at 4046 North Leavitt Street in Chicago's North Center neighborhood is in the planning stages of it's sixth annual Spring Fling Auction and Fundraiser, which is slated to be held on April 2, 2011, at the DANK Haus, located at 4740 North Western Avenue in Chicago.

Myself and my cousin, whose daughter attends Coonley are busy trying to contact local merchants to see if they would be interested in donating an auction item. In addition, The Friends of Coonley, who is sponsoring the Spring Fling, is welcoming anyone who might be interested in donating an auction item themselves, or even helping out with the auction.

All money that is raised at the Spring Fling will help support the Coonley School, and funds raised from past Spring Flings have been used toward providing music instruction, helping the library and purchasing curriculum materials.

On January 11, 2011, in the school library at 7 p.m. there will be a meeting to discuss the Spring Fling. If you want more information on the Spring Fling, or how you can help, call 773-534-5140 or visit their website.
