Coping with Stress: Let's Find Out Where Stress Comes From

When you were young I bet you can think of an occasion you heard an adult say "I am so stressed out." Then one day discovered what this stress was and why they moaned.

Stress is a part of life FACT, but where does stress actually come from? Where Does Stress Originate? This question gets asks many times daily but nobody can really tell you.

If you were to ask 10 people where their stress comes from you will probably find the answers of kids, family, work, and the number one winner money. These stress factors are common to all of us. These though are causes of stress but not where stress comes from. So where does stress really come from?

There are many different beliefs on where stress comes from. He scientific reason is that stress is our body's response to the demands that we place on it. The demands can vary from physical, mental, or emotional in nature. When the body is placed under these demands it releases chemicals and hormones such as Cortisol and Neuropeptide Y. This is what causes stress.

Stressful Thinking provokes Stressful Feelings

Some people believe stress is only made up in our minds. This can be understandable because we can provoke stress feelings through our worries, fears, and anxiety.

Negative thinking is a huge stress factor and we can often think up things that are not true. For example, have you ever said to yourself that you aren't good enough, smart enough, or pretty enough to do something? This is guaranteed to create stress in our minds. You have come to accept that your negative thoughts must be true. What you need to do is replace those negative thoughts with positive. You are pretty and smart enough to do that task!

Stress is a normal part of life so and we will never be able to hide from it. This is why we must learn to cope with it in our own unique way. We all respond to different methods and you need to find a way to cope with your stress that works.

Coping with Stress

As we have discussed, stress is a bodily response to the pressures and demands that we impact on ourselves in our lives. To limit the negative effects of stress such as heart attack, breathing problems, reproductive problems, and stomach problems you should learn how to cope with your stress. There are several simple overcoming stress techniques such as:

* Exercise More

* Positive Self Talk

* A Good Night's Sleep

* Healthier Diet

* Understand Your Work Limits

* Say NO! When You know You Can Not Do More

* Ask For Help

* Make Time For Fun

* Positive Imagery

* Use Deep Breathing Techniques i.e. Counting down from 10

* Listen To Your Favorite Music

* Remove The Clutter

* Keep Things Simple

If you constantly use just a few of these stress management techniques, you will live a healthier, happier, and more productive life!
