Cordmate Cord Cover Kit Works Well for Concealing Ugly Wires in Your Home

Cordmate Not Only Helps Hide Wires, it Also Helps Direct the Cord Around Corners and Along Egdes

When we wanted to put a TV into our bedroom, we learned there was no cable outlet in this room. We didn't want to drill any holes through walls, and we couldn't easily access our bedroom from the basement. For years we had a cable cord fished across the hallway from one room to another, however this strategy was messy and a trip hazard as well. This is when we discovered the Cordmate Cord Cover Kit. Buying two Cord Cover Kits allowed us to neatly move our TV cable from one room to the other without it being very noticeable. Most importantly, we eliminated the trip hazard!

The Cordmate Cord Cover Kit doesn't specifically say it is made for TV cables, but it worked for us. The box claims the kit is good for phone lines, speaker cables, lamp cords and extension cords. We choose to try it with our TV cable anyway even though it is thicker than most of these other types of cords. It was a bit of a challenge getting the TV cable into the Cord Cover Kit but once we figured out the best strategy it became easier. The trick was to get just a bit of the cable into the Cord Cover and then slide the cover one way while pulling the cable the other way. Doing this made it very easy to get the cord into the cover. At spots, the cable cord is still slightly visible through the opening in the Cord Cover, but it's barely noticeable.

The Cordmate Cord Cover Kit isn't just about hiding the cord, it's also meant to help put the cord along the wall exactly where you want it. Each cord cover has an adhesive strip on it to stick to the wall. By using multiple cord covers and cutting them as needed, you can wrap the cord around a door frame (as we did) or along your molding, or anywhere else along the wall. Once all the adhesives pieces are stuck on to the wall, the kit includes corner and connector pieces to smoothly connect the individual cord covers. Although it's not meant to peel off easily, the adhesive can be peeled off if needed without causing any damage to painted walls. We peeled one off after putting it in the wrong spot and there were no marks left behind. That makes these kits ideal for apartment living!

Once installed, the Cordmate Cord Cover Kit may seem very noticeable at first. However after being up for a few days I started to completely forget it was there. It's one of those things that is very noticeable if you point it out to someone, but not something that most people will notice otherwise. When our cord was going across the hallway, it was definitely very noticeable. We accomplished our goal of fishing the cord cable around a doorway and keeping it low-key at the same time.

The Cordmate Cord Cover Kit is also paintable. We bought the white Cord Cover Kits, but if white or ivory doesn't work for you, you can paint the covers to match your walls making it even less noticeable. Even though our walls are not pure white, we choose not to paint the Cord Covers and we found that it still blends in well enough that it's not taking away from the room.

The Cordmate Cord Cover Kit may be exactly what you need to hide ugly cords and cables around your home. It's not always possible or practical to drill holes in the wall or fish cords under carpet, so the Cord Cover Kit is your best bet.
