Core Beliefs in One-Liners

Those of us who work with words tend, sometimes, to overvalue them or to mistakenly equate the volume of them with their ability to convey meaning and depth. Just as the deceptively simple 17 syllable Haiku demonstrates in poetry, this is not necessarily true in matters of religious belief or philosophy either.

While there are hundreds of thousands of instructional and deeply reflective one-liners, I believe that the following five have some considerable special relevance to many people.
