Corey Haim: Silver Bullet

Orchiolum
You slew the werewolf
before future demons laughed
at silver bullets.

When I learned of Corey Haim's passing, I thought Corey Feldman had died. After seeing Corey Haim's photo on the news, I wondered what the hell happened to Corey Feldman? He's changed. Later, I got the story right.

I will remember Corey Haim as Marty...the paraplegic kid who parked the Silver Bullet on a deserted bridge one night, desperately attempting to light the match as the werewolf approached.

Haim would light that match many times, grasping hope as darkness descended into tragedy. Peace...finally.

He will me missed. The 80s wouldn't have been the same without him.

The Corey were my boys! They didn't know it! Your Haiku skills remain impressive. I never mastered the art of brevity. I also enjoyed your four Human Legacy pieces. You have a talent!

Great haiku! My favorite memory of the two is "The Lost Boys". It's a shame what happened to him and his friendship to Feldman.

How did I miss THIS? I wrote about Corey Haim and remember his early talent and promise. I'm so saddened that he got into drugs.
