The corn maze and pumpkin patch at the Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield is an amazing place, it is great fun for the whole family. You might think that a corn maze is just that, well this one is much more and it provided a variety of activities for you and your family. When you arrive to the parking lot you are met by an old fashioned tractor hay ride which is extremely fun for the kids, they take you right to the event which is approximately 1/4 mile from the parking. Once you get there you have multiple options, there are two corn mazes, one for the kids that you can get through in about 10-15 minutes and then there is a giant one that can take up to an hour and a half. There is also barrel ride for the kids, it's like a train of barrels pulled by a little tractor and the kids absolutely love it.

With the price of admission you also get a fantastic home cooked meal, there is an option between a hot dog or a hot BBQ sandwich. The sandwich is wonderful and the hot dog is pretty good as well. You also get a piece of corn on the cob, a bag of chips, a side of pork and beans and a drink. There is also tents set up with popcorn and other snack type foods.

It really is fun and as Halloween gets closer it will only get more exciting for the little ones. I encourage you to take a look at the website and look at the aerial picture of the big corn maze, it's pretty impressive. Also at the web site you will find prices and hours of operation. It really is easy to find, it's at C-470 and Wadsworth, you head South on Wadsworh about 4 blocks and take a right at the Denver Botanic Gardens sign. I highly recommend visiting this attraction this year.

I have not visited any other corn mazes around the city but I can't imagine that there are any better than this one. I recommend you go pretty early in evening so you have plenty of time to do the big corn maze especially if you have little ones with you. The little corn maze is easy and fun for the kids. It's getting colder now too but when I went the mosquito's were pretty bad, take some bug spray with you and a jacket because when the sun goes down it gets pretty cool. This is a relatively inexpensive activity for the whole family and it provides food, fun and good quality family time.
