Corpus Christi's Fifth Annual Harbor Half Marathon and Relay Will Be Here Soon

If you're looking for a challenging race to run this fall, you might be interested in Corpus Christi's Harbor Half Marathon & Relay. According to the website www.harborhalf.com/Welcome.htm, this is the "highest half in Texas". I think running over the Harbor Bridge in Corpus Christi would be challenging for anyone. The race will take place on Sunday, October 18, 2009.

If you're not quite ready to run a half marathon, you can find a teammate and run the relay instead.

Also, this year there is a Kid's Marathon event. This event is a great way to get kids involved in fitness. Kids that register for this event will need to either walk or run 25 miles before October 5, 2009. Once registered, they will use a log sheet to keep track of how many miles they walk/run. The log can be obtained at www.harborhalf.com/KidsRace.htm. The kids will then run the final 1.2 miles at the Harbor Half Marathon & Relay on October 17^th.

Register by September 15^th and you'll save $10. Registration fees after September 15^th are $60 for the half marathon and $75 for the relay team. Registration fees for the children's race are $10 regardless of when you register.
